I’m Maksym Semeniuk, a composer and sound designer specialising in music and audio for film, television and interactive media. I recently graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a BA in Music and Sound Design for Film and Interactive Media.
My passion lies in using music and sound to bring stories to life, create atmosphere and connect audiences with what they see on screen. From composing original scores to designing immersive soundscapes, I enjoy exploring how audio can shape emotion, build tension and transform a visual experience.
Throughout my studies and personal projects, I’ve gained experience in composition, sound design, audio editing and mixing, working across a variety of films, animations and creative projects.
I’m always looking for new opportunities to collaborate with filmmakers, directors and other creatives who share a passion for storytelling through sound.
My long-term ambition is to build a career as a film and television composer and sound designer, creating distinctive audio experiences that leave a lasting impression.
BA Graduate – Royal Holloway, University of London: Graduated in Music and Sound Design for Film and Interactive Media.
BFI Student Film Premiere: Composed the original score and designed the sound for Get Even, collaborating with the director and leading the sound design team through recording, editing, mixing and revisions.
Audio Storytelling: Contributed music and sound design to My Grandfather’s Journey, an audio storytelling project exploring personal and historical narratives.
Original Compositions: Created original scores and sound design for short films, animations and visual media, developing a versatile approach to cinematic storytelling.
Independent Creative Portfolio: Developed a portfolio of original compositions, animation rescores and sound design projects, showcasing my ability to combine music and audio to enhance visual storytelling.
Professional Development: Completed the Sync Lab course in partnership with Lewisham Music, gaining valuable insight into music synchronisation and the creative industry.
