London Film School (LFS) is the UK’s oldest film school, dedicated to cultivating the next generation of filmmakers. Based in Covent Garden, LFS fosters a vibrant, intensive creative environment where global networks are formed for life and the industry is continually shaped by its community. In 2026, the School will celebrate its 70th anniversary.

LFS offers five MA degree programmes and a wide range of short courses to over 300 full-time students from more than 50 countries. Each year between 50 and 70 graduate films are produced. Recognised as a World-Leading Specialist Provider by the Office for Students and named by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the world’s top film schools, LFS continues to make a significant mark on international cinema. At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, two of the 22 Competition titles were directed by alumni from the past 20 years: Carla Simón (Romería) and Oliver Hermanus (The History of Sound).
