BAFTA award for AMPS member

AMPS member, Production Sound Mixer, Ian Sands and Dubbing Mixer Dai Shell are the sound team awared the BAFTA Cymru 2013 for their work on ‘The Gospel of Us’. The film was shot entirley on location in Port Talbot over the Easter weekend of 2011. Starring Michael Sheen and thousands of the town occupants, the storline is a contemporary re-telling of the Passion story. Pre-production involved many weeks of meetings with National Theatre of Wales, arranging and co-ordinating coverage of major and minor theatrical events around the town with a core team of ‘wandering-minstral’ recordists, to block booking radio frequencies from JFMG covering the whole of the town and the surrounding countryside. Other nominees in the category were the sound teams for Sherlock and Doctor Who. Michael Sheen was awareded Best Actor for the same film. IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2125651
