Sustaining Membership effectively gives a company the same benefits as ordinary personal membership without the voting rights, including attendance at meetings (any number of personnel welcome) and screenings at Pinewood’s John Barry Theatre (the renamed Theatre 7) held in conjunction with the GBFTE and other respected Guilds - allowing two seats bookable for each film and at a Soho preview theatre, copies of our publications, regular exposure in publications and on our website Directory, the ability to use AMPS logo, an annual Sustaining Member certificate for display at your premises, and the chance to display at the Sustaining Members’ Show which follows our AGM, when participants bring along the latest tools-of-the-trade, or literature, exhibiting from tables in the form of a miniature trade show, accompanied by a complimentary buffet and cash bar. This get-together offers a valuable chance for manufacturers/distributors and the end-users to meet up informally face to face and is extremely popular with all concerned.
Whilst advertising is not carried in our Journal, we welcome articles from all quarters including our Sustaining Member companies, which might be of interest to the membership at large, be they about latest techniques or new equipment to facilitate and improve the acquisition and processing of the soundtrack. Our bi-annual Journal is distributed throughout the Film and Television Industries in the UK and to a growing number of recipients worldwide.
The subscription rate for Sustaining Members is £350 per full year, with a reducing amount during the year of joining and we look forward to receiving the completed application form shortly:

We have recently updated this letter
We are aware that many of our Members are receiving screen credits that can cause confusion, particularly for the various institutions that grant sound awards.
This open letter to Producers requests recognition for, and application of, the more up to date format for Sound screen credits and encourages the use of the suffix AMPS after the name of all Full Members screen credits in the appropriate grades.

Tuesday, 24th July 2012The Recommended Standard Sound Package for TV Drama is provided to offer guidance to Production Management personnel. Each Production will have its specific Sound requirements determined by consultation between the Director and Production Sound Mixer. Additional facilities not included in the Standard Package are subject to normal commercial charges. Examples of additional facilities are appended.
