| A BIG APOLOGY FOR A GREAT GAFF Readers who studied 'The People Who Started AMPS' column in the last issue of the Newsletter must have wondered why Hugh Strain's name wasn't listed. I, as editor who made up the list, am wondering too. I was absolutely dumbfounded when Peter Hodges rang me to ask if there was a reason why Hugh wasn't included. I still feel 'sick as a parrot' that I missed out one of the most important founders, and am unable to explain why. It is even more difficult as it was me who wrote the citation for Hugh's Fellowship Award (Page 10, Newsletter 30). I have known Hugh for at least forty years and consider him one of my special colleagues and a good friend. I hope you will forgive my lapse Hugh and accept my very sincere apology, and that we will continue to be good friends. The list is herewith reprinted with Hugh's name included.
